Logs from trees, in plain, pale and dark. The first thing you gather and the first thing you build with.
You can tear a tree down with your bare hands. That's how the game starts. An Axe does it five times faster. Each world grows its own timber, and a log keeps its species: a pale forest builds a pale house.
What it becomes
- Planks: sawn boards in the same three colours. Recipes that ask for wood usually take planks too.
- Wood plates: flat stock cut at a Pipe Bench, 4 per log, for wooden ducts.
- Fuel for a Smelter's firebox.
