AstraCube is made by one independent developer. This page says what we collect, why, and who else sees it. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.
What we collect
- Alpha applications: your email, the games you've played, your hardware and operating system, and what you wrote about giving feedback. Used to choose playtesters.
- Your account: your username, the email your code was sent to, and your password, which we only store scrambled (hashed) and can't read.
- Founder packs: your email, which pack you bought, the amount, the date, and your access codes. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
- Discord: if you link your Discord account, its ID, so we can give you the tester or Founder role.
- While you play: the game checks in with our server to confirm your account, which records when you last played. Feedback and bug reports you send from the game, or by replying to our emails, are filed in our private issue tracker on GitHub.
- Website visits: Google Analytics counts pages viewed, roughly where visitors are (country, city), their device and browser, and which site sent them. See cookies below.
Who else handles it
- Google Firebase / Cloud: hosts this site, our server and our database.
- Stripe: takes payments. Their privacy policy covers what they keep.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Discord and GitHub: as described above.
- Google Analytics: website statistics.
Cookies
The site only uses cookies for Google Analytics, and only to count visits. In the EU, UK and Switzerland they stay off until you press Accept. Everywhere else they're on until you press Decline. You can change your mind any time with cookie settings. Signing in to the game doesn't use website cookies.
How long we keep it
Sign-up details are kept until your access code is sent. We keep account and purchase records, and a daily backup of them, for as long as the game exists. That lets us prove a purchase or get you back into your account. Payment records may also need to be kept for tax reasons.
Your choices
Email support@playastracube.com to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account. We'll keep the minimum record of a purchase that the law requires.
